Last entry I said of Claymore 'Best. Anime. Ever.' After 10 episodes of simply jaw dropping entertainment I'll raise the bar to simply one of the best shows I've ever watched. Wow...
I have to go... I tried to pick my jaw up off the floor after last episode, but I only got half of it.

Mend your ways!
All right all you non-anime-watching people out there. I don't care who you are, or how much you hate/could care less about any animated shows coming out of the land of the rising sun, it is time you suck it up and sacrifice ~23 minutes of your life to witness greatness. You must (and I mean it) try the show Claymore. It has AMAZING art, great seiyū (voice actors), and a damn good story. Oh, and did I mention plenty of gushing blood? I've always been lukewarm towards most anime, but this one hands-down simply rocks. Check out a great streaming rip of ep 1 here courtesy of divx.com, and then either follow these links or simply torrent it. Best. Anime. Ever.

More bizarre links, please!
Ok, here you go! Confused? Maybe slightly mortified? Yeah, so was I. Here is the page that started it all.

Sweet Relief
This last week I had finals for chem and all I can say is I'm SO glad that class is done. What a great instructor, though. His is the first ratemyprofessor page I've ever seen without a SINGLE bad review. But man was there a lot of hw... Anyway, I aced the class, so rockin! The rest of the summer semester should be more relaxed now.
I'm looking into getting new glasses... This pair that I've had since the late nineties just aren't cutting it anymore... I was going to just head over to the closest lenscrafters, but after talking to a friend who got flexon frames with transition lenses all for under $300 at a "family optometrist", I'm thinking maybe that would be cheaper. It seems as Lenscrafters must make their money by selling frames at cost and then jacking up the lenses, because they charge that much for just the transition lenses. Since everybody I know who reads this wears eyeglasses, what do you think, national chain, or local practice?
And in case you've been living in a cave, Beckham is in LA now. I'll be going to a game sometime within the next month, so I'll keep you posted. It would be cool if he helps bring the sport into prominence over here. Considering the Galaxy, his new team, has only 3 wins so far, I don't think we'll see him on national TV carrying them to the title this year, though.
Sorry, no muckracking links for you're viewing pleasure today.

Happy Fourth of July
Ah, the fourth of July... I used to be really psyched about this pseudo-holiday, but this year I could not care less. I've been looking forward to it, but not because it's Independence Day, but because I get the day off from school. A day that I can use to get a step ahead on my homework and go to sleep early.
Really, I don't understand how anybody can really give two shits about celebrating the birthday of this 'glorious ' nation that excuses criminals, as long as they have the right skin pigment and political connections, that oppresses our rights to basic privileges and privacies in the name of 'safety/security', and that seeks to exert its will across this world without consideration for native citizenry. Oh, and I almost forgot, a nation willing to restrict its population's access to information for the right price. (see savetheinternet.com for more on that) Didn't our president invent a label for countries like that a couple years ago...? It's like it's right there, at the tip of my tongue.... Grrr, what is it...? Oh, YES!!! "Axis of Evil".
What a hypocritical war mongering self absorbed cancer on this world our country has become. Happy 4th.
Oh, and for the auto-enthusiasts... Check out TimeAttack out of UK. Mostly rice rockets, but pretty cool.
